Pearl of Africa Tours was founded in 2010 by Sarah Nakimuli, a passionate Ugandan conservationist and tourism enthusiast. Growing up in a small village near Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Sarah witnessed firsthand the impact of tourism on local communities and the importance of preserving Uganda's natural heritage. Her vision was to create a tour company that not only showcased the beauty of Uganda but also empowered local communities and promoted responsible travel practices.

Initially, Pearl of Africa Tours started with a single safari vehicle and a handful of dedicated guides. Over the years, the company has grown steadily, building a reputation for providing exceptional service, authentic experiences, and a commitment to sustainability. We work closely with local communities to ensure that our tours benefit the people and places we visit.

Sarah Nakimuli

Founder & CEO

Sarah's passion for Uganda's natural beauty and commitment to sustainable tourism drives Pearl of Africa Tours. She oversees all aspects of the business, ensuring that every tour reflects her vision of responsible and enriching travel.

David Okello

Head of Operations

David manages the day-to-day operations of Pearl of Africa Tours, ensuring that all tours run smoothly and efficiently. With over 15 years of experience in the tourism industry, David is a master of logistics and a dedicated problem-solver.

Aisha Nambozo

Lead Guide

Aisha is a highly experienced and knowledgeable guide with a passion for sharing Uganda's rich culture and wildlife with visitors. She specializes in birdwatching tours and is an expert on the flora and fauna of Uganda's national parks.

John Ssemujju

Community Liaison Officer

John works closely with local communities to ensure that Pearl of Africa Tours' activities benefit the people and places we visit. He is responsible for developing and implementing community-based tourism initiatives and fostering positive relationships between our company and local stakeholders.
